R2826 BR 4-6-2 'Dominion of New Zealand' A4 Class
In 1937 and to celebrate the Coronation of GeorgeVI, the LNER inaugurated the "The Coronation" service which operated between London, Kings Cross and Edinburgh, Waverley. It was based on the very successful "Silver Jubilee" service which had commenced operation in 1935. There were five new LNER A4 locomotives that were assigned to "The Coronation" and they were all named after Commonwealth countries. This year two of the five locomotives have been chosen to start the collection and each will be produced in a limited edition of 1000 pieces, complete with an authenticating certificate.
